Fast 50: Oyova Among the Fastest-Growing First Coast Businesses

Oyova Among the Fastest-Growing First Coast Businesses

Oyova proved its rightful place in an elite group once again. The Jacksonville Business Journal has systematically determined the business growth leaders in the First Coast every year for over a quarter-century. In 2020, the publication assessed the last three years of business expansion across all sectors, studying numbers and researching documents to identify the most successful companies, through collaboration with CPA firm GunnChamberlain, PL. Oyova has won a position among the 50 businesses for a second year straight.

David McGraw Oyova Owner

Oyova Owner David McGraw said that it was an honor to make the list again in 2020. “We’ve worked hard as a team this past year to put ourselves into a position to grow,” said McGraw. “We’ve focused on our processes and our people, ensuring we have the best talent to deliver outstanding results for our clients.”

McGraw is pleased with the agency’s growth and believes it stems from exceeding the expectations of the workforce and clients alike. To him, that means “providing the best work environment for technologists as well as unmatched customer service and results for our customers.”

About Fast 50’s Northeast Florida list: parameters and awards

These awards are related to a record of growth: while the Jacksonville Business Journal refers to award recipients as “2020 Fast Companies” due to when the designations are presented, they are actually based on 2019 success. In fact, the requirements for longevity and volume of companies extend back to 2017.

In order to be considered for the honor, the following parameters must be met:

  • Brought in annual revenue during 2019 of $1 million or more
  • Able to demonstrate total revenue for 2017 of $500,000 or more
  • Launched no later than January 1, 2017
  • Show a revenue gain from 2018 to 2019 and revenue growth from 2017 to 2019
  • Based in St. Johns, Putnam, Nassau, Flagler, Duval, Clay, or Baker counties
  • Be for-profit, locally owned, and privately held.

The companies in the Fast 50 each will receive a profile in a special section of the Jacksonville Business Journal published the week ending July 25. The 50 rapid-growth firms will also be celebrated at a Fast 50 Awards Virtual Event on July 23. In 2019, Oyova Software LLC was ranked 36th overall.

Jon Tsourakis Oyova CFO

Oyova President & Chief Revenue OfficerJon Tsourakis felt the award was emblematic of teamwork and results. “I feel blessed that we’ve made the Fast 50 again. But we can’t credit any one person for this. This is all about the team, and the dedication Oyovians are willing to go to do exceptional work,” Tsourakis noted.

While the drive for quality shows the internal side of a well-operating company, the external results seen by clients will determine if you keep getting business. “When you affect topline and bottom-line growth for clients, you get mutually beneficial outcomes,” said Tsourakis. “I couldn’t be prouder.”

Merger Central to Thoughtful Growth Effort

Oyova has already been recognized for its fast growth among independent Sunshine State companies this spring. A ranking put together by Inc. Magazines Inc. listed Oyova within its Inc. 5000 of the Fastest Growing Companies in Florida. Oyova was ranked 197 on the list.

As we said in our announcement of that honor, we credit much of our success over the last year to leadership alignment as McGraw’s Oyova merged with Tsourakis’s Revital Agency.

As explained by McGraw, the workability of the new merger defined 2019. “After expanding our reach to St. Petersburg with the merger of Oyova and Revital Agency, we took on 2019 with a ‘grow big fast’ mentality, by finding a partner who could integrate seamlessly into what our mission was and add a diverse layer of additional skill-sets,” said McGraw. Specifically, the Jacksonville-based agency is able to get broader exposure across Florida, since St. Petersburg is nearly 250 miles away and on the opposite coast. “Having earned this award again for 2019 validates that merger as a complete success,” McGraw added.
