Oyova Partnership Helps Tackle Cancer
Jacksonville Beach, Florida – The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund has partnered with Oyova Software, LLC (Oyova) to develop a HIPPA-compliant online portal that will facilitate and expedite the processing of emergency household expense requests from families tackling childhood cancer. By moving from a paper-based process to a digital portal, the Jay Fund aims to give families more precious time to spend with their sick child.
“The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund is grateful to the Oyova team for working with us to make this project a success,” said Keli Coughlin Joyce, Executive Director. “A digital patient portal will help make the process safer, easier and quicker for families requesting help with their household expenses. Almost always when a child is diagnosed with cancer one parent has to become a full-time caregiver. Loss of income combined with medical expenses can create a real financial crisis. The Jay Fund’s goal is to be sure these families keep a roof over their head, the lights on and food on the table. They need to be able to focus on their sick child.
The portal will allow the Jay Fund to better assist families and identify ways in which they can better serve them. By streamlining the process, families will be able to submit assistance requests for services such as rent, gas, electricity, and more with ease. They will also be able to easily monitor the status of their request.
Oyova’s generosity in providing their services and manpower, and their overall commitment to the Jay Fund, is a testament to the benefits modern technology companies can bring to non-profits. The partnership will allow the Jay Fund to better serve its mission of providing financial, emotional, and practical support to families who have a child with cancer.
Donations and contributions to causes such as childhood cancer need not be merely monetary, and the generosity of partners like Oyova has a positive impact on the lives of families facing childhood cancer.
It’s been a great experience working with the team at The Jay Fund, says David McGraw, Oyova CEO. “It’s always a pleasure to work with a team that’s passionate about what they do. It makes our job easier and when we succeed the impact is that much more. Being able to take their processes and digitize them, understanding what they do, and how their people work was a truly inspirational experience. We look forward to nurturing the platform and assisting with its growth into the future.
