There was no previous website for Civics for Life, which presented a unique challenge for the client. The client had previously used the website builder Beaver Builder for the O’Connor Institute dot org website and wanted to utilize the same platform for Civics for Life. One of the main challenges was to create a website that was easily maintained and provided a consistent user interface and experience, which was lacking in the current website for the O’Connor Institute. This meant that the website needed to be user-friendly and intuitive to navigate for users, as well as easily updatable for the client.
The challenge was to create a website that met all of these requirements while still being visually appealing and engaging for the target audience. With these challenges in mind, the team worked to create a new website for Civics for Life that met all of the client’s needs and exceeded their expectations.
Project Goals & Solution
Oyova proposed a specific approach for the Civics for Life website that would utilize native WordPress posts for specific content areas. This approach was designed to address the challenges faced by the client, specifically the need for a more easily maintained and efficient publishing experience, as well as a more consistent user experience for website visitors. By utilizing native WordPress posts, the team was able to create a system for archiving content over time, which would allow for easy populating of strategic areas of the website without additional thought or publishing overhead. This resulted in a more streamlined and consistent publishing experience for the O’Connor Institute team, while also providing a more consistent and engaging user experience for visitors to the Civics for Life website. The implementation of utilizing posts over pages has delivered outstanding results for the Civics for Life website. By creating an architecture that utilizes posts for specific content areas, the website has experienced less content updates on key pages and more automated content population in predefined areas. This approach has resulted in an easier publishing experience for the O’Connor team, enabling them to manage and maintain the website content more efficiently. Moreover, this implementation has delivered a better workflow efficiency for the team, allowing them to focus on creating new content and enhancing the website’s features rather than wasting time on routine updates. Overall, the new approach has transformed the website into a more user-friendly and efficient platform, delivering exceptional results that exceeded the client’s expectations.
